$2133.00Ignacia Ramirez Esquivel de Soriano was a beautiful woman who loved her family deeply. As a little girl, she would climb trees that had branches overlooking the Urapan River and would pick the mangoes that floated and rushed by on the water. She loved life and the beauty of nature - to see the birds sing and the dawn of a new morning. As her mother taught her, she taught us - to live courageously and never be afraid - to trust God, love family, have faith and give yourself to others, especially those who are defenseless, including animals. These values are what she handed down to her children.
Tragically, she lived with Parkinson's Disease for 19 years. She did not get diagnosed until age 70, but she already had the symptoms. She loved to swim, she loved to laugh, she would tell jokes and sing unforgettable songs. Her prayer was that there would be a cure for PD and that her children and grandchildren would never get the disease. She wanted us to be her voice - the voice to never forget those who suffer with this disease, and to help find a cure.
My hope is that PD will be eradicated. It is for this reason that it's important to support Michael J. Fox and other organizations to help find a cure. Please join me and be the voice.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $2 billion in high-impact research funded to date.
