Marie "Yvette" passed away on May 4, 2020 at the age of 84 after a 13 year battle with Parkinson's Disease with Dementia.
Born on September 12, 1935 in Slidell, LA to the late Archie Holden and Enola Pichon Holden. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Kermit Holden, Sr and Troy Holden, Sr, and her sister Phyllis Mayfield. She is survived by three loving children - two sons, Craig Sollberger (Dee), and Brian Sollberger (Sandy), and a daughter Laura Sollberger Thomas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She always enjoyed being with friends and family. Yvette spent many years in the business of banking / loan department retiring from JP Morgan Chase in 1999.
Yvette absolutely LOVED all things Mardi Gras! Whether it was participating in parades and carnival balls or watching from the sidelines. She spent many years of her life decorating floats, halls, auditoriums, etc, and creating costumes for the events. She was a member of several carnival krewes - Bayou Liberty Civic Club, Krewe de la boutte Dominique, and, up until her life's end, the Mystic Krewe of Magnolias.
