$2502.25Robert G. McCurdy passed away March 27, 2020, under Kindred Hospice care at The Landing of Collegeville. Born in Philadelphia on December 18, 1943, he was the son of the late George A. McCurdy and Helen R. (nee Roebas), and grew up in Eagleville. Sadly, he was also predeceased by a son, Sean Thomas McCurdy.
Robert was the principle of McCurdy & Associates, a rep. group for office systems. He earned his BS at Wofford College, SC, was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and attended Carlisle Military School in Georgia. He served in the Army, was a Lieutenant with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Houston, TX and was also a professional member of the US Golf Teachers Association. Robert is remembered as an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, and woodworker who enjoyed working out and running.
A Brother and five time Past Master of Norristown Lodge, No 620 F&AM, he proudly served as his lodge's Representative to the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and was a member of High Twelve and Scottish Rite, Rajah Shrine, Reading.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 51 Years, Sara Jane McCurdy (nee Lessig), loving father of Patrick Michael McCurdy (Lauren) of CA, Katherine Elizabeth McCurdy of NY, and Samantha Anne McCurdy of CA. Bob is also survived by his sister Bette Wildgust (Ronald).
The Coronavirus has impacted our everyday lives and sadly it includes the celebration of life for loved ones; therefore, Robert's memorial services will be held at a later date.
