Zachary Schmitt was a very special and loved son. He was only 32 years old at his passing. His grandmother suffers with Parkinson’s and this donation was done to honor Babe Blom, and all others who suffer with this debilitating disease. Many young people can not get the medical care they deserve when there is mental illness involved. They suffer chronically and in silence much like those with Parkinson’s, so there is parallel. Love ones suffer watching them deteriorate and serving as caregivers, while society still has no idea what toll this takes by failing to recognize caregivers value. We donate to honor and help support your efforts in this valiant fight!
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
