Raised in Tribute:
$600.00Claus Mees lived with bravery, strength and determination throughout his 21 years with Parkinson’s Disease until his passing on March 2, 2020. Born in Berlin May 1, 1940, Claus was a handsome young man with a vision, and some serious work ethic. This drive brought him to the United States after serving in the Air Force where he learned his trade of instrument repair which became his passion and life work. After moving to the United States, Claus built a beautiful family and successful business with his wife Helga and son Hartmut. Claus’s specialty was Automotive Instrument Restoration at Palo Alto Speedometer which he founded, and he was one of the very best at it on the planet. He enjoyed traveling with his family, beautiful cars, eating good food, soccer, and he loved the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Red Wings. Claus’s support system included his wife Helga, sister-in-law Doris, son Hartmut, granddaughter Audrey, daughter-in-law Shannon, and family friends Mwezo, Erika and Sally. Claus embodied strength and courage, and we will miss him greatly.
