My grandmother Barbara Sheila Burton lost her years' long battle with Parkinson's in August 2019. She was first diagnosed between 2006 and 2007. Barbara was always an active person and so full of life. Her family and "granddoggies" were the centre of her universe. Parkinson's Disease stole Barbara away from those who loved her most. In memory of my beautiful grandmother "Safta," I will do everything in my power to help find a cure. I hope you will join me in this fight. Let's find a cure and end Parkinson's Disease once and for all!
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
