This tribute is for my father Eduardo Aguirre. He is suffering from Parkinsons but still fighting , he is my heroe!.

My name is Ximena Aguirre, I live in Winchester VA with my husband and daughter.
I am raising money for my father Eduardo Aguirre, he is suffering with Parkinsons since 2012. Everyday I talk with him via FaceTime because he is living in Chile in a beautiful town La Serena. The place is beautiful but the only problem is that there are not doctors over there that specialize in movement disorders.
He is being undertreated for a long time with very low dosis of the Parkinson medication, because of this his off times are very frequent and so severe, that he spends most of the time in bed, unable to move and in pain.
He used to be very active, used to love to walk, play chess and had lots of friends. Now he just remember how he use to be and his memories are the only thing that makes him feel some happiness.
Last year Feb 2014 was the last time I was with him in Chile, since then he has lost a lot of weight and has lost the ability to walk, even assisted. It is really hard for me to see this happening and not being able to help him, because we are so far apart.
The only hope for him is to bring him over here to live with me to have access to specialized doctors and to be engaged socialy with a Parkinson support group, that I have join in my community here in Winchester.
if he stays in Chile he will continue his deterioration without the proper medical treatment and the support that he needs. He is becoming more fragile as the days pass by.
I have thought about bring him over here for months and I have encountered many problems when I try to plan how to do this. Mainly is money, because he will come as tourist he won't have Health Insurance, but he still needs to see a doctor and continue buying his medication and without insurance for me is almost impossible.
The ticket to travel from Chile to here is expensive in economy class, and in his health condition he has to travel in first class to survive the long trip, he needs to travel lying down and with a doctor certification. He needs to have a companion and be assisted to move and to be transfer.
I need to buy these tickets that are so expensive and even though I have been working double time and extra this year saving every penny I realized that it is almost impossible for me to accomplish this before is too late.
My father is 82 and I know that time is not in our favor, I need to see him and care for him, but most of all, give him the opportunity to be treated better, give him a better quality of life, with Parkinson but not isolated and in pain.
Please I ask for your generosity to help me with whatever you can, a dollar plus a dolar will get me closer to give my father some hope and buy him his plane ticket to come here.

Thank you for your support!.
