Raised in Tribute:
$2446.50My mother Elaine Hallada was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016, the same year her first great grandchild was born. I remember being at my niece’s baby shower and mom was having difficulty keeping her glass upright. When asked about it, she said it was normal aging but agreed to get it checked out. Turns out she had Parkinson’s and there is nothing normal about the disease ... as it impacts everything you do. She has raised 5 daughters as a military wife and mother, had multiple careers, traveled the world including RVing across Africa and skydiving in Australia - and while Parkinson’s may have slowed her down - she is still fighting. At her request to fundraise for Parkinson’s Research, we’ve created this tribute for her.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
