Jeff Lava is an accomplished radiologist and photographer, and my awesome dad. He has valiantly and doggedly lived with Parkinsons for 20 years, and he's still putting up a fight at age 77. We've seen many medical breakthroughs for this disease, but we need more. And there WILL be more! Let's help the process!

To get us started, I'm doing a tiny viral fundraiser - Monkey On My Back. I will donate $50 for up to 5 pushups I can do with my kid (Finn) on my back. I can do 10 chinups, and used to bench 260lbs, but I can barely do one pushup with my 60lb son on my back. They say a pushup is equal to half your body weight - I weigh 200 - so I can't push 160lbs? Sad!

I'm giving myself 2 weeks - before the new year. I will nominate 5 people to try the same. For every pushup they do, I'll donate another $10 per pushup. This would put me at $500. If they nominate another 5 people, I'll donate $5 per pushup. If it continues past that, I'll need a goFundme!
