Patricia Murray was one of the kindest, compassionate and loving spirits I have ever know. She also just happened to be my mother.
She was always such a supportive and encouraging parent to both my sister and me. She never lost her temper. Really. She would be disappointed, but, somehow never yelled in anger. As a mother, she and my father would constantly remind us that we could do anything in life if we put our mind to it and worked hard enough. She was our number one fan!❤️
I was blessed to have the opportunity to spend these past three years seeing her most days by helping take care of her. . I was able to live 5 minutes from her apartment in memory care. We were able to laugh, watch our favorite shows and eat out until this last year. We really enjoyed a unique relationship. We both genuinely looked forward to my visits and spending time together. I just wish I had her strength and patience, but, I take comfort that she knew how much I loved her and did my level best to make her proud and honor her while I watched the horrible disease slowly cause my mother to struggle so much over the years, slowly taking away the little joys and comforts she enjoyed. It was devastating to see it happen and be powerless to do anything about it. She is now with my Sister and her family, my father (her husband of 50 years) and her parents. I miss her every moment, but, she was in such pain and struggling they I know she is finally at peace.
Thank you for this wonderful platform to share our tributes to our loved ones. Thank you for fighting this disease every day!
