Today is April 7th – the last day of Michael's 22-year fight with Parkinson's Disease. He had just celebrated his 69th birthday with his family and friends and had also hung in there for his 42nd wedding anniversary with the love of his life, Pat.

Michael was a family man. His family has been his number one source of pride and joy. His loyalty, devotion and love for his family is unmatched.

Michael was a friend. His boyhood friends are still his besties to this day. He has amassed a wealth of wonderful, loving and supportive friends over the years - friends he (and we) consider family.

Michael was a funnyman. Anyone who knows or who has come in contact with him throughout his life has been convulsed with laughter at one time or another.

Michael was a fighter. He fought PD for so long, even beating cancer in the process.

As we sat with him and watched him struggle through his last days, we know that we wouldn’t wish this on anyone. That is why we are asking you to support us in funding a cure through the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
