STRONG, Frances Estelle Beecher, age 79, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2019. Fran battled Parkinson’s disease for many years while gracefully maintaining her pride and beauty through her final days. Her bravery, energy and spirit were inspiring. She continued to enjoy her favorite activities including long dips in the pool, competitive games of Bridge and Euchre, and Michigan football gatherings with family and friends. If you knew her, you loved her. Fran was an accomplished pianist, champion tennis player, and consummate swim mom and football/softball nana. She always enjoyed a good book and a good laugh. Above all, Fran was steadfast in her heart, faithful to the Lord and her family. She was a devoted wife, mom, and nana. She and her late husband, Hugh, were married for 42 years, having raised their family in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, before moving to central Florida. Fran is survived by her daughters, Karen (Robyn), Krystin, and Laurie Hobbs; son, James (Cheryl); granddaughters, Sara Herrick (Thomas), Lexie Blair, and Frances; grandsons, Brandon (Marissa), David Herrick (Samantha), Kevon Blair (Carlie), and Morgan and Jacob Hobbs; great-grandchildren, David and Desmond Herrick, and Desiree and Dominic Strong; sister, Elizabeth Nomina
