Today marks a full 10 years that my father lost his life due to Parkinson’s Disease. To say that I had a tough childhood is an understatement to describe what it was like to grow up with a sick parent and the aftermath of a broken family. This disease can be controlled in such limited ways, and there a only few people who can live a life once they are diagnosed. My father unfortunately was not one of those lucky people, but his life and battle is not something I see as wasted. Today I donated and every month I donate, with the purpose to prevent other families in the future from experiencing the life my family and I endured when my father was sick. I honor him on this day and everyday not because he was my father, but because his battle has value. His memory is something I wanted to share with others today. Donations can be of any amount and only takes a few seconds to process. A small amount of love can go a long way.
