Mike was still a young man when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (38). He had no idea how his diagnosis would effect his life, his career and mostly his family. What makes him so unique and amazing is that he knew that he could not predict the progression of his disease or how many "good years" he'd have left, but he knew he had to live! So Parkinson's Disease was just something he "had" or "managed"...he decided it would not determine who he was or how he'd live his life. God saw this grace, and although he could not take away Mike's diagnosis, God saw to it that goodness remained in Mike's heart and he was able to enjoy all that life had to offer! He was a wonderful husband for 48 years, a wise and caring Father, and a loving and giving Grandfather! He enjoyed his days...he basked in the simple pleasures that life had to offer...he was a silent hero to all of those who knew and loved him.
Our family will always remember him with a smile on our faces and love in our hearts. We offer you the opportunity to share with all of us your stories and memories of Mike.
