Raised in Tribute:
$135.00Daddy died on 27 February 2015 from a combination of factors including Parkinson's. I'll let his son sum up some of the reasons he was loved by his family and so many friends.
"The number one thing about my dad was that he loved God. I know now he is in Heaven having a big party. At a young age he was drafted into the Army. He loved his American Flag and flew it high on the hill at his house. He showed me how to take care of it and fold it. He taught me how to say yes sir and say no sir. He started his construction company in his late 20s and had it till he passed away. He was the hardest working man you would have ever come across. He always expected 110% out of me. I started at a young age sitting in his lap and driving his car on Birdsong Road in Camden. My dad loved racing stock cars and go-karts. When I was almost 8 we started racing go-karts. He knew how to make them fast and the first year we won a championship. He loved to race stock cars and he was really good at that. He would always tell me racing is for the track, not the streets. We both loved speed and he was just letting me know where to do that. He loved to hunt deer, too. He taught me at a young age how to use a gun and the safety part of having a gun. My dad loved my mom . When they first started dating he would walk miles just to go see her. They have been married almost 49 years. What a blessing. I love my parents . The last words I heard out of my dad before he stopped talking was him telling my mom he loved her. What an awesome thing. My Dad was my HERO."
