$100.00Lilyane Miller lived a long and full life, passing at the age of 87 from complications from Parkinson's. She was born outside of Paris, and grew up during WWII in occupied France. She immigrated to the US as a teenager after the war and settled in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married John Miller in 1953 and lived the life of an Army wife, raising 3 children. She was the eternal optimist who always thought things would be fine. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer in her 50's, but beat it. Later in life she was diagnosed with Parkinson's and tried to not let it affect how she lived her life. She would not want the disease to be what defined her, but would be grateful to all donations to help fight it and prevent others from dealing with it's consequences.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
