Our dear mother, Sheila Miller Bradley, passed away on the morning of December 22, 2018 at the age of 78.

Sheila was dedicated to her 3 children, her 4 grandchildren, her career as an Attorney, and her community and faith. Sheila was a devout Catholic, an active member of her church, and sang in the choir. She was a supporter of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Tulsa and she volunteered with the Day Center for the Homeless. As a young mother, she worked with Childbirth & Family Life because she had a passion for natural childbirth and breastfeeding, she taught Lamaze classes, and was an advocate for fathers to be allowed in delivery rooms. She was valedictorian at Monte Casino High School. She received her law degree in 1989 from the University of Tulsa and tied for top female in her class. She loved gardening, DIY'ing, reading, singing, watching basketball & playing bridge with her friends.

Despite her healthy lifestyle, Sheila was a 2 time breast cancer survivor. And she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the same week as her second breast cancer diagnosis in 2004. She immediately got involved in the APDA OK board and educated herself on everything Parkinson's Disease. She managed her symptoms for many years until about 4 to 5 years ago when it forced her to retire and the progression of the disease was more rapid. It aged her exponentially both physically and mentally. She moved to a wonderful Memory Care facility in Fort Myers, FL in 2016 to be closer to her daughter, Jennifer. Jennifer cared for her lovingly and spent time with her nearly every day and Sheila was doing quite well for a while. Her decline over this past year was the most difficult and rapid. So it was a blessing that she passed peacefully.
