$877606.00After the stress of home flooding in Hurricane Katrina, Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s with complications caused by Post-Polio Syndrome. A little over a decade later, his new home in Denham Springs was flooded in the Fall of 2016, and he passed on his 70th Birthday, December 28th, 2016. He lived with his Parkinson’s diagnosis for 11 years, and with hindsight we suspect he suffered through symptoms for several years before Katrina. This page is dedicated to him as he lives on in our hearts.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
