William Andrew Eby passed away August 19, 2018 in Rockledge, Florida after complications from Parkinson's.
Andy (or Bill, depending upon who you ask) was born in Kentucky on January 22, 1942, the third son of Rev. Amos Tillman Eby, Sr. and Lillian Owen Eby. After graduating high school in Russellville, Alabama, he joined the Navy serving as a radarman from 1961-1965. While stationed in San Francisco, he met and married MaryLou Brown in 1963.
After leaving the Navy, he trained to be a draftsman and worked in the technical publications division for Lockheed Corporation in Sunnyvale, California. In 1993, his division was transferred to central Florida where he became a resident of Rockledge, Florida. He retired in 2004 after 35 years with Lockheed.
An avid woodworker, he enjoyed creating and selling his and MaryLou’s work at craft fairs in both California and Florida.
Andy (or Grandpa Bill) is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, MaryLou; son Andrew Eby of Gainesville, Florida; daughter Babette Eby McKay and son-in-law Douglas McKay of San Jose, California; son Kevin Eby of Rockledge, Florida; grandchildren Cameron McKay and Marjorie June Eby; and brothers Amos Tillman Eby, Jr. and J. Wesley Eby, both of Winter Haven, Florida. He was preceded in death by brother David B. Eby.
