Shirley Ann King, age 72, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 4:10 Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
She was born in Logan County Ohio February 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Harold William and Mary Elizabeth (Williamson) Hanks.
On August 11, 1973, she married James H. “Jim†King and he survives. She is also survived by a sister, Connie Sue Hanks (Rita "Corky" Shepler, good friend) of Bellefontaine and a goddaughter, Shannon Link of Delaware, Ohio and several cousins.
She bravely and positively dealt with all the many effects of Parkinson's on her life. Never complaining she was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Shirley was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church and had worked in the medical field for twenty three plus years, most recently as a RN. She was a member of the RONA for retired registered nurses. Three words that best described Shirley were, quiet, kind and compassionate. She loved watching tennis, the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and joining her husband in cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
