William "Bill" Arana, 81, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, in Queens, New York, surrounded by his immediate family. His long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease was met with the same strength and resilience that defined his life.

Born on September 24, 1943, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, William was the eldest sibling and took on the role of a father figure at a young age. This sense of responsibility and leadership carried through his entire life as he built a loving family of 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Known for his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering strength, William was a protector and a guiding force for those around him.

William is survived by his children: His sons Jason and Danny, and his daughters Marielise and Lianne. He also left behind 8 cherished grandchildren: CJ, Javi, Lorelei, Tara, Gabiel, Aria, Ellie and Jackson. He was predeceased by his mother, Carmen Martinez and his father, William Arana.

A funeral service to honor William’s life will be held on March 1, 2025, at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in Jamaica, New York. The service will begin at 09:30 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM at 150-85 Goethals Ave, Queens, NY.

William’s legacy of love and guidance will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
